Question 5

How quickly can you arrive?

Accepted Answer

For planned transport, we aim to arrive at the time arranged with you. For breakdowns and urgent towing requests, arrival is commonly within 30 to 60 minutes, although this can vary based on traffic, weather, location and current demand.

Question 6

Can you assist with difficult towing situations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Towing jobs can sometimes involve unexpected challenges once we arrive, such as restricted access, low-clearance car parks, narrow driveways, awkward vehicle positions or recovery requirements.

Our operators take the time to inspect the situation, select the appropriate equipment and complete the tow as safely as possible.

We operate a range of wheel-lift tow trucks, tilt tray trucks and wreckers to handle different towing and transport requirements. Our team can move cars, utes, caravans, trucks, machinery, equipment, freight and shipping containers up to 20 feet.

We provide round-the-clock assistance throughout Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury and surrounding regional areas.

Long-distance transport is also available across Western Australia, including northern WA and southern destinations such as Esperance.

For crashes and accidents, we understand that as a driver, there is a lot to take in. We will help you ensure you have done everything you need to do at the scene to ensure you can proceed through the insurance claims process as quickly as possible.

Question 7

How long does towing take?

Accepted Answer

When it comes to towing a car or truck, the time taken can vary due to several factors. However, our towing services are adaptable and can cater to your specific needs.

Distance: Short distances take less time, while longer distances require more.

Vehicle Size: Larger vehicles like trucks may take longer to secure and tow than smaller cars.

Location: Is a significant factor in towing time. Perth’s city and suburb areas with heavy traffic or difficult access points may slow the process, while rural or open areas allow for faster loading.

Condition of the Vehicle: If the vehicle is damaged, or cannot roll or steer, or stuck in a difficult location, it may take longer to load and secure it safely.

Type of Towing: Depending on the vehicle and situation, services like flatbed towing might take longer than a simple hook-and-chain tow.

Standard cars (on average): 20–30 minutes to load and secure the vehicle, plus driving time.

Trucks or larger vehicles (on average): 30–60 minutes or more, depending on size and complexity. Extra time may be needed to ensure careful handling, especially if it’s a specialised or luxury vehicle. This commitment to safety and quality is a hallmark of professional towing services.

Question 8

Are you insured and qualified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Performance Towing WA operates with the relevant Western Australian licences, insurance cover and towing equipment required to carry out professional transport services.

Our drivers are trained and experienced in handling vehicles, machinery, equipment and goods. Each tow truck is fitted with dash camera recording to help document incidents that may occur while travelling.

Question 9

Can I ride with the tow truck driver?

Accepted Answer

In many cases, passengers can travel with the driver. This depends on seat availability, the type of truck being used and whether it is safe for the journey. Please ask when booking and we will confirm the available options.

Question 10

How can I request a transport quote?

Accepted Answer

You can call our Perth team on 08 6500 1013 or submit the online enquiry form. To prepare an accurate quote, please include the collection address, destination, details of the vehicle or item being transported, and any access restrictions or special requirements.
